I pulled up at the first empty pump station. If i'm not mistaken it's No#1. Right next to me on another station (i presume it is No.#2), a dude is already parked there. As usual, i pay by cards. As i tried to swipe, i noticed the screen says, "Lift of the Nozzle & Start Filling". It wouldn't go away even after i put my card in. I looked over the other side, the guy already started filling. Puzzled, i lifted, and tried pumping. It stopped at RM5. I fill in V-Power, obviously RM5 is like a tickle of pee for me. Seriously.
Just when i was about to swipe my card, the station attendant ran up to me.
Attendant: "Ei, kau pergi isi dia punya minyak kenapa?" (why did you fill in his petrol)
ME: "Macam mana i tahu. Itu screen cakap suruh angkat & isi" (how would i know. the screen says to lift & fill)
Attendant: "Yang kau pergi isi kenapa? Kamu belum masuk kad. Itu minyak dia kau pergi ambil. Jadi kau bayar lah!!" (why did you use his petrol to fill? You havent swipe your card yet. That is his petrol and you took it. So you pay up!)
I was busy looking at the screen watching the credit card approval, and before i could reply, he ran back to man his counter. To summarize this conversation, he practically accused me of filling up what the other dude (the person next to me) paid for. HELLO? YOU wrongly keyed in that amount into my pump station. Without any apology you came up to me, turn it around and say that it was MY FAULT? How was i supposed to know?! If only he say it nicely; not in such rude sentence, i would let this go. But, there's MORE.
So, after filling up a FULL TANK of V-Power 97 (i just have to stress this), i got in my car and drove up to the counter/main door (as oppose where i usually just put my car to reserve and take the back way home - along Maktab Gaya). This was when the attendant came out and try to block my car as was about to pull up at the counter.
I scrolled down the window to hear him say:
Attendant: "RM5 kau pun mahu lari kah!" (you wanted to runaway with my RM5!?)
Me: "Eh, i sudah park dekat sini. Buat apa mahu lari?!" (hey, i'm parked here. what would i be running away?!)
Attendant: "Sudah isi orang punya minyak lepas itu kau mahu lari tu tadi! Saya sudah panggil kau, kau masih pergi isi lagi" (you filled in people's fuel and after that you tried to run away! i've already called out to you, but you still went ahead & fill up)
Me: "Hello! Mana ada i nampak you tadi? It's your mistake. Kau key in salah kau cakap saya salah. I sudah park dekat sini mahu settle, tak kan you nak i tinggalkan kereta & jalan sini! Saya mahu komplain sama you punya supervisor. Apa you mahu!"
(hello! i did not see you just now! it's your mistake. You keyed in wrongly and you said it's my wrong doing. I'm already parked here wanted to settle this. What? Do you expect me to leave my car and walk to the counter?! I'm so gonna complain to your supervisor. What you do want!?)
Attendant: "Bayar lah!" (so, pay up!)
I was so angry and fucking pissed when he further accused me of running away. For fuck's sake, i fill Shell V-Power 97. Would i be running away just for 5 effing Ringgit?!! You think i couldn't pay for it?! I'm an EDUCATED person, puh-lease give me some credits rather than grouping me with those low-life(s) who would run away without settling it!
In my defense, he DID NOT make a single sound that i can hear to forbid me from lifting the nozzle. Nor he did anything to erase RM5 from the pump in that several seconds i stood there in puzzlement staring at the screen before lifting it up. Plus, i am a girl. No person in their right mind would leave the car and walk all the way to the counter in the middle of the night, so i brought my car up as near as possible in case anything happen.
I gave him my RM50 note. When he came back with my change, i asked for his name several times. He IGNORED me and WALKED away. I have no other choice, so i took out my cellphone to snap a picture of him so i can have proof of such person when i'm complaining to the management the next day (or whenever the offices are open).
Several guys were lining up at the counter queuing at this point. He saw me taking pics and came out to tell me off.
Attendant: " Kau sekarang tak puas hati kah apa! " (are you not satisfied or what?!)
Me: "I tanya nama you tak nak jawab. so i take picture lah!" (i asked for your name, you did not answer. So i'm taking your picture)
Attendant: " *mumbled something under his breath* .... jangan mengada-ada nanti saya tampar kamu baru kau tahu!" (.... don't be a nuisance or else i'll slap you!)
Me: "That's it. I'm complaining to your management!"
After explaining the situation the some curious dude riding bikes who overheard the exchange. I got in my car, slammed the door and made a U-turned back to the road heading to Maktab Perguruan Gaya.

I do not appreciate being treated this way. Nor will i tolerate such behavior coming from an employee of such well-known oil service company / station who stresses on FRIENDLY SERVICES. Let me quote from Shell Malaysia Website:
You can trust Shell to meet your every need when you're on the road. Our network offers you friendly service, a range of quality Shell fuels and convenience shopping with the advantage of loyalty programmes.
Even though i'm only blogging to vent out my frustrations and anger, i think all of you guys in reading deserve to know this. I'm going back tomorrow morning to see if the person in charge is in. If not, i will come back again and again until my words reach the ears of the management. If it falls to deaf ears, be assured that the local papers will hear about this as well.
